5:30pm	Getting to know the blues - a Primer
6:00pm	Learn classic blues licks.
6:45pm	Jam on the licks with backing tracks.
7:15pm	Open discussion and Q&A
7:30pm	Wrap up and closing thoughts.

The workshop will be divided into 3 different sections:

• Getting to know the blues. We will set the stage by covering the basics of the blues genre. This will include the 12 Bar Form, Pentatonic and Blues Scales, Turnarounds and some basic chord shapes.
• Learning Blues vocabulary. We will learn some easy licks from T. Bone Walker and B.B. King.
• Playing vocabulary over real music. We will apply the licks we have learned by playing them over backing tracks.

We will be working with these three backing tracks. Feel free to listen to them below: The simple licks taught in this workshop will certainly spice up your playing and open your ears to some new ideas. There will be plenty of time for you to get answers to your most important questions on this event.
