Live Workshop with Dustin Prinz
As a singer/songwriter your solo performances may feel like they’re missing something. Song after song of strumming chords may wear an audience thin. Without a backup band you need to do your best to hold an audience with just you and your guitar.
Through the use of percussive Para - picking, looping, sampling, and effects, Dustin will take you through his live show and give you some great examples of how to add more life to your singer/songwriter toolbox.
This workshop will be divided into three main sections:

| Quick run through of all the gear used in my live setup. Settings on pedals, guitars, use of samples within the context of songs. Microphones used for vocals, and all signal routing from mixer to loop station. | |

Pulling from his extensive series on JamPlay, Dustin will show show you how to add backbone to your songs by employing a percussive technique He’s dubbed Para - picking. With the use of a pick, you can add a beat to your rhythm and lead passages that will help keep them interesting. Dustin will give you the tools you need to incorporate percussive playing in to your own music and dissect a few examples from his own songs.
