Bass Lessons from JamPlay

Each video lesson is professionally filmed in our studios located in Loveland, Colorado. All lessons are offered in high-definition quality and presented with 3-5 cameras depending on the material taught. Our lessons stream to you in 5 different qualities, with the additional capability to stream all video lessons to your mobile device!

Structured Lesson Sets

Freedom to Learn What You Want

Learning is only realistic with resources, and only possible with organization and some structure. Our teaching structure is insanely simple, but surprising effective. Instead of viewing a slew of random videos with little support, we seperate our teaching material into 4 distinct phases.

 Beginners

Phase 1 of our teaching method serves to teach you these absolute basics, such as tuning, posture, technique, reading tablature and playing bass lines. Our Phase 1 lessons begin as if you have just picked up a bass guitar for the first time, and follow step-by-step through the beginner process.

 Styles

Phase 2 of our teaching method focuses on genre specific techniques and skills. After you have a firm grasp on the lessons and topics covered in Phase 1, you then move onto your preferred genre of music. Our phase 2 lessons are taught with the idea that you are already have a basic understanding of the bass.

 Songs

A large majority of bass players simply want to pick up the instrument and play their favorite songs. While Phase 1 and 2 give you the building blocks to playing guitar, Phase 3 gives you an outlet to start playing music. Here, our teachers take your requests, and teach you how to play your favorite songs.

 Artists

Anything goes in the Artist Series! This is where our artists teach you the techniques and styles that put them on the map! These exclusive lessons are some of our most popular on the website. Unlike our Phase 1 and Phase 2 lessons, artist-based lessons may not follow a set chronological order.

Thousands of Members. Lots of Moral Support.

Pretty bonkers, really... the rate at which these "Online Communities" are popping up. Guess we will play our part in being the only guitar-related community of bass n00bs. But honestly, we all know that learning a new skill is always difficult, so the least we can offer for your "moral" support, is a few thousand people to relate with.

Community

JamPlay is exactly what you need to move forward...

After spending years just picking up this or that via free tablature and not really having any specific purpose or direction, but really wanting to get better, I stumbled across a review of this JamPlay.com website. There was a post by an older gentlemen who had been frustrated for years, and signed up with JamPlay and it has only gotten better for him. I saw the demo videos and had to try it myself. I am NOT disappointed and have been practicing more than I have in a while since I am back to enjoy learning my instrument and loving it again. If you want to learn as a complete beginner, are stuck in a spot like I was or just need some new material to spark your passion again, learn with Jamplay, and even offer advice in the forums for those that have a desire to know what you may know and help the community grow. All I will say is you gotta at least try it. Seriously.. Jeff H
