Hooks for a Strap - Guitar Question

"Hcso asked "I bought an acoustic guitar that has a hook for a guitar strap on the bottom of the guitar but not on the top. I know there is a way to add this but I'm afraid I'll chip and crack the wood on it. Any suggestions?? Believe it or not I liked the guitar so much that I never notice until later. Any answer from any instructor is fine. Thanks.""
